Hi there & welcome.
Its now July 2019, yet another year since my last About update.
I don’t write here often anymore; after just over a year of trading at cottageimvana.com and 7 months since Cottage Imvana (PTY) Ltd was born, I find myself wonderfully caught up in my very own business. God is Faithful.

Its a year or so since I updated ‘What I’m About’. Here’s mid 2018…
I still live and love Kwa Zulu Natal (KZN) and am still much about the same. Although there have been some tweaks, refinements, and here or there a minor change.
Now I am even more aware of how life has changed since the corporate days. I take such pleasure in colourful tractors, wild flowers, plastic gumboots and roaming cows – simple things that are so often lost in the mist of humanity.
I have found a place and a passion for growing tourism in KZN, with the majority of activity on Twitter. 14 hours a day, 7 days a week, I source & share content from the province, answer replies & questions. This I do for love.
A social media influencer, I also do work for brands & tourism associations – I do this for love and money – someone has to pay the bills.
I recently also opened my own Airbnb/self-catering/vacation home Cottage Imvana in Bulwer.
I still firmly believe something I used to say in corporate, “lets grow together”. So if You are on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram, and also live and/or love KZN, please find me and lets start something in this beautiful somewhere.
I am also host of the weekly Twitter chat #TravelChatSA, so please join our rapidly-growing travel community too.
Another thing I have found is my passionate voice for Responsible Tourism & especially #HandsOffOurWildlife and #BanAnimalInteraction
What I’m About (in 2017)
In September 2016 I fired my boss to completely live by Faith, doing whatever I felt God lead me to do. I knew that I would never be able to fulfill God’s purpose for my life while working in the corporate world.
I grew up in Hout Bay, Cape Town, but moved to KZN for 10 years until 2016 when I moved back to Cape Town for work. After 8 months there and within less than 2 weeks of resigning I packed up my flat, loaded what I could in my Hyundai Atos and returned to my beloved KwaZuluNatal. I put my Milnerton flat on the market and God sold it within a week, so began my search for a farm/country house & spacious garden or even completely wild land.
And I have found it in Bulwer, Southern Drakensberg, South Africa.
I find myself completely able to love my life as a whole, including myself and what I now do. Social Media Tourism, PR & Photography with specific focus on Kwa Zulu Natal, I guess its destination marketing or travel & tourism influencer.
